Job Purpose: responsible for managing and overseeing the performance management system within an organization, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and facilitating effective reporting and performance evaluation.

Job Responsibilities: • Coordinate and administer the implementation of the Municipal Individual Performance Management System (IPMS). • Ensuring alignment of employee performance plans with the municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP),Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan(SDBIP),and organisational scorecards. • Facilitate the development, review, and updating of performance agreements and work plan • Reviewing and implementing performance management development system policy framework. • Coordinating the performance review process ,ensuring it is conducted fairly and consistently. • Track submission of performance agreements, quarterly assessment reviews, and annual assessments • Maintain accurate performance management records, database and filing systems • Compile monthly ,quarterly and annual IPMS reports. • Analyse performance data and identity trends, gaps and areas requiring intervention. • Monitoring progress on performance improvement plans and provide on-going support. • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees in conducting appraisal. • Ensuring the timely completion of performance appraisal and documentation. • Conduct awareness sessions and training workshops on IPMS processes and tools. • Generating reports and analysis ton track performance trends and identify areas for improvement.

Role Requirements: Grade 12, National Diploma in Human Recourses Management/Public Management/equivalent relevant qualification. Minimum of 2–3-year relevant experience. Computer literacy and a valid drivers’ license


Competencies: Communication & presentation skills, basic research and data analysis, sound knowledge of Local Government Performance Management System
