Job Purpose: Manages the functional key performance areas, processes and procedures associated with the planning.
Job Responsibilities: 1. Manage and coordinate all processes relating to Integrated Development Planning (IDP) and ensure Municipal legislative compliance, identify and define the immediate short-term and long-term objectives/plans and controls associated with Integrated development planning. 2. Implement new developments and legislative imperatives supporting IDP development plan necessary to achieve acceptable levels and standards of service delivery to the relevant stakeholders for consideration and inclusion into the Municipality’s short/medium-term performance and service delivery plans. 3. Prepare submissions/reports to specific portfolio committees for perusal and discussion. 4. Plan and implement the formulation of specific policies and procedures associated with the IDP, in addition, perform other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements: Grade 12, Relevant three (03) year tertiary qualification, preferably an Honours Degree in Urban Design or equivalent Planning degree; and Registration as a professional planner / architect / urban designer. Computer literacy: MS Office. 5- 8 years relevant experience. Valid driver’s license.
