Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.

Job Responsibilities: 1. Conduct Supply Chain Management policy review, procedure manual, standard operating procedures and its implementation. 2. Develop, monitor, direct and control all aspects of Supply Chain Management in the Municipality to ensure compliance with the Procurement Policy and Municipality’s Administrative Framework Manage and prepare capital and operating budget and implementation of financial controls/ procedures and provides information to support financial planning. 3. Oversee demand & acquisition management. 4. Compile a supply chain acquisition management plan and ensure approval. 5. Evaluate the Departments performance against budget and addressing deviations/variances with appropriate personnel. 6. Manage contract in accordance with Supply Chain Management Act and manage the procurement and tenders process according to prevailing legislation, norms and standards. 7. Manage the Supplier database. 8. Manage the supply chain activities and ensure compliance with supply chain policy and tender Development and implementation of audit action plans.

Role Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric Certificate plus relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably in Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Logistics / Procurement, Computer Literacy: MS Office. Code EB driving license, 5-8 years relevant experience covering all aspects of the relevant SCM process; and Management of SCM information or having gained specialist experience in a Supply Chain Management discipline.
